Sports
We are pleased to offer all children at least two sessions of physical activity during curriculum time. As part of the School Sports Partnership, we are also lucky to receive expert, highly qualified coaching during curriculum time throughout the year, including gymnastics, dance, games and athletic coaches.
The school hall and grounds are used most lunchtimes and after school for extra-curricular activities. These include such activities as singing/dancing club, netball and football. School teams compete against neighbouring schools in girls' and boys' football, netball, rounders, rugby, basketball, running, cricket and swimming. Other activities are run throughout the year - for example, activity clubs and yoga.
The aim of Pennine Sports Partnership is 'to increase opportunities for all people to access and participate in high quality PE, sport and physical activity with the intention of increasing participation and improving health and well-being across our sixty-two partner schools'.
