Parental Controls: Games Consoles

Parental controls are settings that give you more control over what your child can and cannot do whilst using their device.
These settings vary between each console in terms of what they offer, but many provide a way to:
- Limit screen time,
- Block inappropriate content
- Restrict the types of games that can be played based on age ratings.
The settings need to be turned on and set up correctly in order to be effective. We recommend that setting the controls is accompanied by a conversation with your child about online safety.
